Solving Dog Barking At The Door Problem

I haven’t had time to create my own video on barking at the door so I wanted to find a video from another trainer who would employ the same strategies I would to demonstrate. This is a great example using positive reinforcement and clicker training.  Here is a demonstration of teaching the dog to do an alternative behavior other than barking at the door, which is going to the dog’s mat.

When you are working to solve a problem behavior with your pet in the most positive way, it’s important to focus on what behavior you want your dog to do instead of the unwanted behavior. And then teach that.

NOTE: Remember, behavior is always the study of one. Every dog and every environment is different. If you need help modifying this to help you and your dog succeed, a trainer who uses positive reinforcement can help.
