As a parent or trusted adult role model to a child (and a family dog), you more than likely want them to be friends. You get how tricky it can be sometimes to manage so many needs, wants and behaviors. Helping your family including your dog to be safe and have fun together is so important. It is why I am so passionate about teaching kids (and parents) about dog training and friendship.
Parents, I’d like to support all of you – yourself and your children – to have the best possible relationship with your dog. This also is more than simply training your dog. This is about teaching you (and your kids if they are old enough) how to be a safe and fun dog friend who your dog will want to be around.
I offer free classes for kids called My Dog, My Best Buddy. If you are in Cincinnati, Ohio, I encourage you to register your child (age 6 to 12).

This pre-dog training class is not so much about teaching your dog manners, as it is about teaching your family how to encourage your dog to want to pay attention more. Children students will learn how to be someone your dog will want to listen to and be with. With help from a certified therapy dog, I teach kids about dog body language, how to be a positive dog teacher, and how to be a safe and fun dog playmate.
The 75 minute class could be the most important investment in your child’s relationship with your dog.
Is your child interested in learning how to train your dog? I’d love to help. I offer private dog training lessons for kids to teach them how to understand dog language, how to create dog enrichment, and how to train their dog.
These are offered in-person (if you are within my Cincinnati area) or virtually. You can live anywhere in the United States to register your child for dog training lessons! (Best for kids age 6 and older)
