Kids Learned How To Be A Dog Hero In My Programs

Leading up to National Bite Prevention Week, I had so much fun meeting awesome kids in my educational programs this month at the Petopolis Dog Show, and the Hyde Park and Madeira Branches of the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County.

Lisa Desatnik and kids at the Madeira Branch Library in Cincinnati

In ‘My Dog’s Hero’ programs, we talk about the basic do’s and don’ts of playing appropriately with and caring for their dog, as well as  how dogs tell us when they are happy, or when to leave them alone, and how to approach other people’s dogs. It is all about helping to prevent bites and helping kids succeed as caregivers and friends to their dogs.
