An Overly Bitey Puppy Needs Rest

A puppy training tip: I was just having another talk about this yesterday. Remember, puppies need A LOT of sleep in a day, over 15 hours.  This is one of the reasons why teaching your puppy that the crate is a wonderful place to settle and rest is important. When not confined, even though your puppy may lay down and close its eyes, often it will get up and follow you out of the room if you move…not really getting a needed restful nap. Activity that requires thinking and moving is tiring, making that rest more valuable. When thinking about how you can help your puppy to succeed, don’t forget to include giving your little friend enough time to sleep.
